British Children are Growing Upset as the Realize that their Fathers Have Gone Away to War
As their fathers and older brothers begin to disappear in the middle night, the children became more confused. They would often questioned their moms or older sister where has their dad gone. Children would often write about what they thought of the war. A lot of the time, they discuss their thoughts of war from the experiences that the war has given them. They often discussed about saying good bye to their fathers, the news of missing or killed family members, celebrations after a victory, or the common sound of bombs. The children were also influenced by propaganda, which gave them an image on why the opposing country is so bad. Some children write stories about what they think what would be a successful attack on the opposing countries. A lot of the younger kids don't understand how bad the war really is. Not even some of the older kids understands why the war is so bad or the importance of the war. Many kids were left with confusion about the war.
